By placing an order with Print Parrot, online, by phone, or in person, you hereby agree to the terms of service.
Payment
All orders are prepaid unless otherwise specified. We accept American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa, and E-transfer. All Orders are non-refundable. Overpayment ( due to order change, etc.) will be issued a credit for future use. In the event of a missing or delayed payment, the original payment method will be re-attempted until the order balance is paid in full. In the event of a late payment, interest on the outstanding balance will be charged at 20% per annum plus an administration fee of $50.
Price Promise
Print Parrot offers price matching for identical order specs including garment style, artwork details and quantity. A formal quote from a reputable Canadian competetor, no older than 90 days must be submitted to price match.
Returns
Due to the customiztion of your order, retuns are not possible under any circumstance.
Order Cancellation
Orders can only be cancelled within 4 hours of being placed. After that time, orders cannot be cancelled and a refund will not be provided. If an exception can be made before production begins, a restocking and admin fee will be applied, the balance may be credited towards a future order.
Account Liability
All account balances will be the responsibility of both the individual placing the order and the company associated with the order. In the event of missing, late or non-payment, all parties involved will be pursued and may face legal action. All purchase transactions occur in Ottawa, ON. Canada.
Minimums
Unless stated otherwise on the respective services page, our minimum order is 24+ pieces for screen printing and embroidery. There are no minimums for digital printing.
Turnaround Time
The typical turnaround time is 10+ working days from when the art mock-ups are approved and payment is received. Special services will add to our typical turnaround. Rush charges will apply for orders needed sooner than our typical turnaround. We may be able to accommodate orders in as little as 3 business days upon request.
Turnaround time on special orders, cut & sew, labeing, patches or larger orders (500+ pieces or more) may require a longer time to produce, possibly 4-6 weeks. Please inquire about our current turn time on larger orders.
Deadlines & Rush Orders
All orders with a specific deadline must receive written confirmation from Print Parrot. Your order will be marked with a firm ship out date. This excludes transit time, which may be 1-5 business days for most addresses across Canada. Although very unlikely, rush orders are not guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances such as delayed inbound/outbound shipping, inventory or supply shortages or events outside of our control.
Out of Stock
It is unfortunate, but sometimes our vendors will run out of particular styles or colours. Out of stock items will be substituted automatically for the next closest item of the same or greater value at no attional cost. We must be made aware at the time of ordering if you would like to decline substitutions. If you choose to wait for the inventory to be replenished, we cannot guarantee the turnaround time or accurate re-stock dates per the vendor.
Quotes expire in 90 days. Quotes are subject to change upon review of submitted artwork. Prices may be revised at the time of invoice based on actual prints.
Art and Preparatory Materials
Final print-ready art files must be uploaded in Vector Format (.AI . EPS. .PDF) or approved prior to printing. Print-ready artwork will not incur any additional fees. If further artwork is necessary, art time may be billed at the current rate. We will assume that all images have been sized for final print dimensions and that you have permission/rights to your submitted artwork.
We will provide one mock-up on our own template in PDF format free of charge for every order. Additional mock-ups on our template are available upon request and may be billed at the current rate. Approval of mock-ups on our template is required though web, e-mail or phone. Print Parrot will not be held responsible for any misspellings, grammatical errors, or any other design flaw.
Your artwork may be slightly adjusted to optimize print results. This includes increasing minimum line sizes and text to improve legibility, adding borders, and adjusting print colours and artwork size.
Graphic Design Services
We recommend customers come with their own art or work with a graphic designer prior to print to develop the art for their project, in order to ensure that your tees are printed in a timely fashion. However, we do offer graphic design services at current rates, billed in half-hour increments.
Best Print Method
We will always choose what we think is the best printing method for your job unless you specify otherwise. Orders of 24+ are typically screen-printed or embroidered. Orders under 24 are typically digital print (DTF). Not all artwork is compatible with all decoration methods.
Garment Selection and Subjectivity
For custom orders, we purchase and supply the garments. We expect our customers to research the garments before placing an order with us. We can provide a digital spec sheet with product description, size measurements and colour options for any available item upon request. All brands may vary approximately 1.5″ from their stated measurements, this is the industry standard for natural materials that can stretch and
shrink. Print Parrot is not responsible for discrepancies related to the garment including but not limited to size accuracy, colour accuracy or garment quality control. If garment selection is sensitive, we strongly encourage ordering samples of the garments before placing an order. When the final order is received, we cannot guarantee that the customer will like the garments they chose. We do guarantee print quality at all times. Subjectivity, or whether or not the customer likes the garment they chose is the responsibility of the customer and not Print Parrot. We do not typically accept customer supplied garments. We may in some cases make an exception for brand new, unworn items if the garment is a style we cannot obtain from our distributors. Print Parrot is not liable for any workmanship or quality concerns for customer supplied garments.
Manufacturer Defects
Print Parrot is not responsible for mistakes or defects on behalf of the manufacturer or distributor: mislabeled sizes, size variances, inconsistent colouring, dye lots, manufacturer garment defects, etc. All brands may vary approximately 1.5″ from their stated measurements, this is the industry standard for natural materials that can stretch and shrink. It is highly recommended to order a few more garments than needed for each size. All additional garments will be included in the print run and we will bill for what is printed.
Proofs and Samples
Pre-press production samples are not offered. We include a digital mock-up for approval before we begin printing. We can send blank samples of any garment and showcase previously printed samples.
Please review your artwork, placement and colours carefully. Changes to your order cannot be made after approval. Delays in approval may delay your order ready date. Industry standard placements are used with a tolerance of +/-1”. If you have specific, non-standard placement requirements, please advise. Please request a high-res art file if you need to confirm any small details.
Your artwork may be slightly modified to optimize print results, only if required. This includes adjusting line thickness or spacing, font size or print size. Digital printing does not guarantee colour accuracy. Garment and artwork colours may not display accurately on different monitors or printers. Please refer to the Pantone or Isacord colour code. We are not liable for any artwork discrepancies, errors or omissions after final approval.
Pantone Colour Matching
You can choose any of the colours from our standard colour list at no additional charge. Custom Pantones that are not on the house colour list will be billed at current rates. Colour and Pantone matching on textiles is not exact or guaranteed although we typically are able to print colours very close, if not perfectly matched. There may be a reasonable variation in colour due to a number of factors. Digital artwork including mock-ups may display colour discrepancies due to file set-up and monitor calibration. Colour matching and accuracy for digital printing is not guranteed. Using a current Pantone book is the best way to accurately communicate colour with us. If you are sensitive about the print colour then please verify against a Pantone swatch. We cannot be held responsible for a colour verified against the visual mock-up only.
Mistakes and Misprints
In the event that we make a terrible error in printing your shirts, we will issue a refund for the amount totalling the misprinted items. Missprints must be obviously visable from arm's lenght. Print postions may vary slightly between garmnet styles and sizes.
Examples include: printing the wrong art, printing the wrong location, or ordering the wrong colour garments.
Under-Runs
In the event of an underrun, a credit or refund will be issued for the amount of the missing pieces.
Delivery
We offer free delivery on most orders of 12+ to most major cities and addresses. Rural and remote addresses excluded. You will be notified within 4-24 hours before your order is out for delivery. In the event that we miss you, the delivery will be left at the front door or reception if available. Print Parrot is not liable for missing or stolen deliveries. Delivery insurance is available upon request and will be billed at posted courier rates. Please advise of any special delivery instructions, or a “do not safe drop” instruction if required.
Split Shipping
We can split your order and ship to multiple locations. Additional shipping rates apply.
Packaging
All items will be bulk-packaged. Individual folding, bagging, etc. shall be charged at the current rates.
Receiving your Order
We encourage you to check the quantities and quality of the garments you receive from us immediately. Print Parrot cannot be held accountable for defects or problems with your order unless contacted within 72 hours of delivery.
Product Showcase
Print Parrot may use a sample print from your order for the purpose of showcasing the print quality and workmanship. This includes but is not limited to publicly showcasing the items in person or online including web and social media platforms. In the event that you wish to have your order excluded from any showcase please contact us or let us know at the time of your order.
User Subjectivity
Print Parrot stands behind the quality of our workmanship. We will reproduce your graphic onto the garment or substrate with maximum accuracy, quality, and consistency. The satisfaction of the end user with the final printed product is subjective. We operate under specific and numerous quality controls, standard operating procedures, and guidelines to ensure a quality finished product, we will not be held responsible for end-user subjectivity. Although we optimize your artwork before printing, some limitations may still occur with small print details and legibility, colour accuracy and print durability due to artwork, garment materials or placement.
